Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: Calendaring. Conference call coordination. E-Recording- ensures all recordings go out and are added to respective list. Hotels and Restaurants Plan Review. Initial Client Meeting Prep / Intake. Assist in drafting legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, motions, discovery, appeals, contracts and correspondence to opposing counsel and to the court. Input information into the file database and case management software. Conduct legal and technical research and analyze results and prepare synopsis. Review, organize and coordinate detailed and complex document productions. Interact with all parties, counsel, and vendors, and respond to any corresponding inquires. Assist attorneys in preparation for meetings, hearings, depositions and trials. Prepare and e-file documents at the State and Federal levels, and follow up on all filings. Pull relevant documents, proofread documents, and organize exhibits in preparation of a motion filing. Maintain case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorneys, clients, and providers if any. Manage information through various firm databases, including MS Word, Excel, I-Manage, and other platforms.
Qualifications: Associates Degree. Experience working within a law firm as a Paralegal / Legal Assistant - preferred. Alcohol and Beverage practice area experience preferred. Attention to Detail. Technical/Functional Expertise and Usage. Written Communication. Oral Communication. Planning and Organizing. Legal Skills.
