Staff Attorney The candidate must have 1+ year of litigation experience. Represent clients in all phases of matrimonial law, family law, support, ED, petitions for orders of protection, and paternity, in Supreme and Family Courts and on appeal. Responsibilities of the position include performing legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery demands, conducting trials and hearings, taking and defending depositions, appearing in Supreme and Family Court, assisting with all aspects of case management, and handling a Matrimonial or Family Law case from inception to settlement and/or hearing/trial. Should be highly organized, self-motivated, with excellent writing and research skills. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills a must. Must work well with a team and have a desire to inspire and motivate support staff. Active member of the New York State Bar is required.
