Legal Secretary, Litigation The candidate will assist in the preparation of attorney correspondence, and other legal documents as requested. Assist in the management of attorney calendars and attorney travel arrangements. Assist in scheduling and coordinating complex attorney activities such as client meetings and seminars. Manage and open new client matters in an effective and efficient manner. Enter and revise attorneys' time in the time entry system. Handle tasks associated with the management of client bills and invoices. Update and proof visual presentations. Establish, develop, maintain and update filing system for retrieval of attorney files when needed. Organize and prioritize large volumes of emails and phone calls. Sort and distribute mail. Draft written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Respond to regularly occurring requests for information. Type and design correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofread copy for spelling and grammar, making appropriate changes. Proofread documents for spelling and grammar making appropriate changes. Complete check requests and expense reports. General office duties, which may include, copying, filing, processing incoming and outgoing mail/email, client and counsel telephone contact. Volunteer to assist others in practice group and office. Other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
