Associate Attorney The candiate must have 2 years-experience. Aadmission to practice before the United States Western District of Texas and other United States District Courts in Texas are required. Must demonstrate proven writing experience in the areas of pleading, motion and discovery practice and are expected to have taken depositions of fact and party witnesses in commercial, employment or tort litigation. Experience deposing non-retained and retained experts along with conducting evidentiary hearings and mediations is preferred for newer associates but required for senior associate candidates. Proven experience with authoring client reports and mediation statements in civil litigation matters. Appropriate candidates must also have proven skill to manage and direct litigation from occurrence through the commencement of the appellate process including all phases of investigation, evidence preservation, pre-suit negotiation, the entirety of the civil litigation process through either jury trial or bench trial. Candidates are expected to know the essence of commercial motor vehicle or motor vehicle accident investigation techniques, fundamentals of accident reconstruction, human factors and orthopedic medicine, and essential aspects of dispositive and expert challenge motion practice. Strong public speaking and writing skills along with a solid work ethic are essential to succeed at Rincon Law Group. Applicants are expected to possess the ability to work well within a team, be responsive to client needs and have the ability to direct paralegal and administrative assistance effectively. Rincon Law Group being an hourly civil defense firm, requires its attorneys to be highly diligent, punctual and systemically committed to recording their billable time entries as legal work is performed. Must be expected to demonstrate knowledge of essential post judgment and appellate right preservation practice. An ability to brief, manage and present oral argument before appellate courts along with a license to practice before all courts in the State of New Mexico is a plus.
