Though the Los Angeles office of this full-service litigation firm continues to specialize in complex insurance litigation coverage, the firm’s main office has recently tried to cash in on the technology litigation market to “bring some growth to the firm.” The transition has not been an easy one; the firm has had an unusually high attrition rate in recent years (insiders tell us some associates left to pursue government jobs but many departed for better money with different firms). However, while salaries remain slightly below market, many observers think the firm is capable of breaking through.
Business Immigration Paralegal, Employment, Labor, Benefits, and Immigration Candidate will work under the direction of an attorney, assisting employers in sponsoring foreign workers for immigration benefits. Duties include direct client contact, preparing and filing nonimmigrant visa petitions and green card applications. Qualifications: Strong background in PERM, EB 1, I-140s, and I-485s. Must be able to identify potential issues arising in EB-2 and EB-3 cases. Background in H-1B, L-1, E-3, and TNs is preferred. Those with both NIV and IV experience will be considered first. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent Corporate client contact. Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and have excellent follow-through skills. Must be able to multi-task and work independently. Ability to work well under pressure and work effectively and with clients, attorneys and staff.
