Legal Secretary/Assistant The candidate should have excellent organization, typing, and communication skills to be an integral part of busy practice. Duties include general administrative tasks (such as answering phones, taking accurate messages, email, greeting clients, scheduling, billing, scanning, filing, and faxing), as well as drafting correspondence and legal documents, ordering title exams, obtaining property tax information, and communicating with clients, courts, lenders, brokers, and other law firms in a professional manner. Must have the ability to handle pressure, interruptions, and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines. Prior law office experience preferred. Knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel required. Real estate and/or litigation experience is helpful, as is familiarity with QuickBooks or E-Closing.
