Paralegal Responsibilities: Provide assistance to the client paralegals handling asbestos clients, national counsel, and carriers for the asbestos client(s). Provide assistance to the client paralegals by maintaining client contact information and product information for the asbestos client(s). Cooperate with an assigned partner, docket attorney, and client attorney for the asbestos client(s). Track and maintain trial dates. Maintain and update reminders for project deadlines for the asbestos client(s). Intake and complete New Complaint Intake Sheet of new complaints/petitions for the asbestos client(s). Coordinate with client paralegal on witness disclosures, responsive pleadings, and pre-trial deadlines for asbestos clients(s). Monitor scheduled depositions for the asbestos client(s). Update case management program with deposition information and product identification information. Prepare and update Trial Exhibit Lists including letters adopting master lists. Prepare and file Discovery responses. Adhere to the asbestos client(s) reporting requirements. Pre-trial preparations. Prepare for and attend bi-monthly watch list meetings. Qulifications: Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate. 0-3 years A? litigation experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner. Capable of independent work. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals. Act with a sense of urgency when needed. Ability to multi-task. Self-motivated. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
