Paralegal - Residential Real Estate Responsibilities: Manage routine and complex transactions as a contributing member of a highly performing team of attorneys and paralegals. Organize, assemble and distribute large quantities of documents for real estate transfers, leasing and financing. Draft, analyze and review real estate documents, including client correspondence, deeds, deeds of trust, settlement statements, UCC statements, title commitments, title exceptions, surveys, zoning letters and reports, environmental reports, lien releases, lease documents, corporate and limited liability company documents, including consent/resolutions, operating agreements and other corporate documentation required for transactions. Disburse closing proceeds in accordance with parties instructions and applicable law. Coordinate closings with clients, counter parties, appraisers, surveyors, insurance companies, zoning authorities, local governments, circuit court clerks, title insurance companies, taxing authorities, attorneys, court personnel, and others. File zoning applications and other documents with local governments. Perform post-closing management of electronic and hard copies of transaction files. Candidate must be an energetic, detail oriented, self-motivated, and deadline conscious individual. Must have an experienced residential real estate paralegal. Must be an accomplished, legal professional with in-depth knowledge and experience in residential real estate transactions, strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and multitasking skills. Must be highly accomplished at drafting settlement statements and use of Softpro and Protrust.
