LaBovick Law Group is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our growing PIP team. The successful candidate must have a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and must have completed the Florida bar exam. The ideal candidate should be hungry, smart, and humble and must have a passion to serve to the team and their clients. This position requires the skills to fit within a large team for first-party insurance claim professionals. Healthcare claim maximization is the fastest-growing and most intense legal division in our 100-person firm. Many lawyers believe PIP suits are an easy practice area. It is not. Great PIP attorneys understand health insurance contracts and government reimbursement systems. They can balance third-party insurance rights with Florida's No Fault medical and lost wage statute. It is a complex and intricate practice, and it demands great attorney work. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Handles up to $2,000,000 to $5,000,000 in case value claims for the firm on an annual basis. Works directly with a team of professional paralegals to efficiently maximize the value of these cases for our clients. Prepares correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and motions, with a heavy emphasis on Motions for Summary Judgment. Negotiates settlements with insurance companies. Attends court hearings, and other legal proceedings on a regular basis. Performs legal research and provides legal insight to our Firm Leadership as well as PIP clients. Leads and advises clients in determining a proper solution to their legal conflicts. Keeps files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Compensation for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually with a potential performance and profit bonus of up to $300,000 in the first year.
