Personal Injury/Workers'Compensation Paralegal The Law Firm is looking for a motivated and experienced Personal Injury/Workers'Compensation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years prior experience in managing a Plaintiff s personal injury and/or Workers Compensation caseload. Our ideal candidate will also possess superb interpersonal skills, unquestionable integrity, self-discipline, the ability to adapt to changes in processes and procedures, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, a team-player, the ability to multi-task, be an excellent communicator (written and verbal), have knowledge of Needles Case Management Software and be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite program. Responsibilities - Ability to manage all aspects of personal injury cases from beginning to end - Gather, analyze, and research information and documents - Educate the client on case progression and set appropriate client expectations - Escalate issues to the attorney and/or supervisor as necessary - Communicating and corresponding with clients, lien holders, providers and others in the legal community - Maintaining client files - Calculate and manage deadlines - Review, analyze and summarize case files and medical records - Prepare various legal documents - Other duties as assigned Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Needles Case Management Software experience preferred but willing to train - Proficiency with computers, telephone lines, and other related office equipment - Must have strong organizational skills; be able to follow instructions, switch tasks quickly and meet deadlines - Must exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues - Professional attitude and appearance - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent planning and reporting skills - Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks - Customer service attitude - Follow up skills - Ability to handle and keep client information confidential Behaviors - Sense of urgency - Ability to make judgement calls - Expected to be highly accurate - Ability to learn and adapt quickly - A positive outlook and vision - Lifelong learner who enjoys improving knowledge - Strong professionalism - Can work independently - Ability to direct and facilitate conversations The Law Firm offers a full time, competitive benefits package, located in Bowie, MD.
