Family Law Paralegal The candidate will understand the basics of a number of court documents. Will schedule, coordinate and confirm court dates, appointments, and meetings. Deal with inquiries from clients via email, fax, letter & phone. Interview witnesses and other people associated with cases. Preparing and formatting memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents. Independently draft standard routine pleadings, correspondence, and other documents. Filing pleadings electronically with courts. Maintaining superior public relations with business associates and clients. Proofreading and editing legal documents as required.
The candidate should have 2 or 4 Year College Degree or paralegal certificate. 3+ years of experience as a paralegal is preferred. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills (written, verbal, phone, email). Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously/excel under pressure and timelines. Organizational Skills required.
