Paralegal The candidate will support two attorneys with numerous plaintiff's personal injury negligence cases in various stages of litigation and pre-litigation (again, primarily auto accidents and slip and falls in New Jersey). Will be expected to handle scheduling, occasionally answer the phone and handle correspondence and information gathering for these kinds of cases. Other things expected will be to organize files, open new physical files, send demand letters and assist with follow up review of files. Also, occasionally expected to send out correspondence and e-file for criminal matters, but that can be easily trained. Should have experience with automobile accident cases and slip and falls, criminal defense cases (traffic, disorderly persons and indictable offenses). Must understand how to handle the day to day workups of these types of cases. This includes an understanding of NJ automobile PIP law. Must understand and be able to work with health insurance carriers and healthcare providers obtaining medical liens. Should also understand and have experience with doctors and medical providers obtaining reports and information.
