Paralegal Assistant, Part-time Duties: Preparing affidavits, legal correspondence and other documents for attorney in Family Law and Estate Planning Answer Phone Calls, Return Messages Assist with Billing for attorney Work with Office Manger to develop more efficient work flows and billing strategies. Weekly Cleaning & Organize Office Space Place Office Supply Orders. Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system. One Drive, & My Case CRM. Schedule & Meet with clients, attorney, and other professionals to talk about case details. E-Filing pleadings with court clerk. Helping prepare for trial by organizing discovery and assisting with other tasks as needed. Preparing briefs, wills, contracts, Deeds, pleadings, appeals, and other legal documents. Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action. Coordinate law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas and other paperwork. Deliver/Pick-up documents to be stamped or filed with, Town, County and or State Offices. Gathering and analyzing statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, documents and other data. Assist Attorney with Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies. Office management experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team oriented environment. Office administration experience. Law Client Software experience or proficiency. Small business background a plus.
