Probate Paralegal The candidate will report to the Managing Partner and Associate Attorney. Opening, Administering and Closing Probate Estates. Opening, Administering and at times, closing Guardianship cases. Creating Simple Estate Planning Documents. Ensuring all deadlines are being met and/or addressed. Continuously providing status oral and written updates to clients to ensure they are informed and that the high standards of communication are met by all in line with the firm's vision and mission. Must have completion of a Paralegal Program; or has Paralegal Certificate. Should have 1+ year of experience in Probate and/or Guardianship, as follows: Experience in handling probate matters, including preparing and filing motions, managing all deadlines, marshaling assets, dealing with creditors and generally handling a case from start to finish. Experience in handling guardianship matters, including preparing and filing incapacity pleadings, initiation of guardianship, managing all deadlines, marshaling assets, and generally handling a case from its inception. Proficient with online docketing systems, as well as the Florida E-Filing Portal and Court Map. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (impeccable grammar in English and decent grammar in Spanish is a must). Proficient with MS Office Suite.
