Workers Compensation Paralegal Candidate will research coverage for workers compensation claims. Will generate required workers compensation forms and documents, transcribe dictation, revise or draft documents as directed by supervising attorneys including, briefs, APAs, correspondence, demands, settlement documents and correspondence in a timely fashion. You will keep thorough documentation of notes and complete various tasks as assigned by attorneys in a timely fashion. Will be responsible for managing the scheduling of attorney calendars by sending requests for client meetings, doctor meetings, IMEs, depositions, meditations, hearings, etc. Will process client mileage reimbursement forms and maintain custody of the physical file. File and update records, correspondence and file documents in an orderly and organized manner per established office procedures.
Qualifications: 1 year of workers compensation experience. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to identify and solve problems, work independently, and take initiative. Must be team-oriented and collaborative. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including firm leadership, management and support staff. Must exhibit high energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude; articulate and confident. Ability to work effectively in a culturally and educationally diverse environment.
