Law Firm is currently seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal for its Farmington, CT location. Qualified candidates that are not located in the Farmington, CT area are encouraged to apply for possible remote opportunities. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years law firm experience and 1 year of recent Bankruptcy experience. Job Responsibilities: * Assist with the preparation and review of legal pleadings for Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. * Monitor cases through court dockets, ensuring all court deadlines are met. * Keep case management system and client communication systems updated with current status of cases. * Communicate with outside parties during entire bankruptcy process. Qualifications: * Prior bankruptcy experience required, will consider candidates with foreclosure experience. * Ability to navigate and multi-task through multiple systems. * Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent communication skills. * Proficient typist and experienced in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook. * Must have the aptitude and ability to learn a variety of client computer systems. * Ability to multi task, prioritize, and proficiently handle a high volume workload. * Must be an organized and diligent worker able to work cohesively with others.
