Family Law Paralegal The candidate will prepare all family law matters for hearings, depositions, mediations, and final trials. Conducted and manage all family law discovery and discovery deadlines. Prepare all family law documents for review by an attorney. Calendar any court dates, deadlines, or client meetings in Outlook and in Clio. Maintain an organized workspace. Conduct self in a professional manner which includes daily appearance. Communicate with clients regarding the status of their family law matters, and manage a family law caseload of 50+ cases. Prepare and send monthly bi-weekly billing to clients. Collect initial and trial retainers from clients. Dress professionally like would be presenting a case before the judge. Be on time. The candidate should preferably have a Bachelor's degree with a Board-certified paralegal. Must have 5 years of relevant experience; work independently and efficiently. Have knowledge of Clio, Dropbox, Microsoft Products, and Adobe Acrobat; E-file pleadings in Tarrant and contiguous counties; handle document preparation with minimal supervision; ability to report to Senior Paralegal; interact with staff, members of the public, and court officials in a friendly manner; balance both legal and policy considerations; and manage multiple projects effectively and respect the time of others; self-confidence and a desire to make the firm more efficient and make suggestions; substantial responsibility in the handling of all assigned family law matters within Tarrant and contiguous counties.
