Personal Injury Paralegal / Executive Paralegal Manager The candidate will handle litigation matters, office staff supervision and executive assistant functions. Will work daily with attorneys, clients, experts, judicial assistants, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters. Assist lawyers in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials and conferences. Complete many administrative tasks, including working on individual cases or transactions. Obtain materials in due diligence. Organize and track files for important case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents. Create and maintain a case-management database. Investigate the factual evidence of a case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams to display information. Gather discovery, review and draft discovery requests/responses. Draft and file pleadings using electronic filing. Draft demand packages to insurance companies and speak with adjusters. Draft legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas; transactional documents, such as trusts, wills, order, review, and summarize medical records. Find insurance coverage, work with investigators, gather information from clients. Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff. This includes: conducting regular administrative staff meetings (weekly & quarterly), assigning daily tasks, determining general work distribution, PTO tracking and facilitating hire/fire decisions, as well as office management tasks such as accounts payable, office supply and maintenance. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program preferred. Must have 5+ years of legal support experience assisting with plaintiff personal injury matters. Should be able to handle upwards of 200+ cases at a time from start to finish (intake, trial, post-trial/close).
