Attorney at Law The candidate responsibilities include: Establishing positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues and the courts. Effectively applying legal solutions to clients issues. Clearly and emphathetically communicating legal options to clients. Researching case law, drafting correspondence and drafting and filing pleadings. Effectively representing clients at hearings, depositions and trial. Consulting with and retain new clients. Working with staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates. Timely communicating with the managing partner and senior associate to continue developing skill set and taking on more challenging legal issues. Using Legal Solutions, DissoMaster, Word, Word Perfect, Excel, TimeSlips and other technology to efficiently generate work product and records. The candidate will have strong analytical skills, persuasive writing ability, effective oral argument skills, sound judgment, a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic. Will also have the ability to manage a case from intake to final disposition, have trial experience and 2+ years family law experience. While we prefer an experienced attorney, we are willing to take a team approach to train a highly motivated newer attorney. Should have J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
