Reviewing and plotting legal descriptions. Preparing and filing UCC financing statements and amendments. Ordering, analyzing, and tracking lien searches. Researching real property tax and ownership information. Addressing issues pertaining to corporate and partnership authority. Managing post-closing. Should ideally have a Four year degree from an accredited college or university and a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program. Should have 5+ years of experience. Obtain good standing and existence certificates and similar material from Secretary of State or other appropriate government offices. Independently organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks to appropriate Records staff, Paralegal Assistants and/or legal support staff. Attend and participate in in-house CLEs. Meet annual billable hour target of 1500 hours. Requirements: Paralegal Certificate from ABA approved program preferred; significant, substantive related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions required. Proficiency with title and survey review required. Experience representing borrowers and developers preferred. Ability to examine, evaluate and summarize large quantities of information. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and document management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond in a timely and professional manner to high client demands. Ability to interact effectively and professionally and provide exceptional service, internally and externally, at all times Highly organized, able to prioritize workflow and manage projects.
