Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be assisting attorneys in all phases of the pre-litigation and litigation process including motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, file analysis and research. Responsible for handling cases during all phases of the litigation process. Provide support for the firm s clients and attorneys and are always client facing. Responsible for the management of approximately 100-125 claims, pre-litigation files and litigation files, held accountable to the Attorney/s for whom they work and attached to and guided by global goals set by the firm. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate preferred. 10 years of experience working as a Litigation Paralegal. Extensive experience in plaintiff personal injury. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize work to meet client and attorney deadlines. Strong MS Word and MS Excel skills including the ability to extract, manipulate, summarize and report data. Foreclosure -litigation Paralegal

Title : Foreclosure -litigation Paralegal

Foreclosure -Litigation Paralegal Duties: Entails managing all administrative tasks of legal cases, and demonstrated civil litigation experience. These tasks generally include editing and preparing correspondence and legal documents, maintaining electronic files, arranging depositions, correspondence, heavy calendaring. E-filing in state and federal court. Will work with multiple paralegals and attorneys in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Prepare and format memoranda, correspondence, and other legal credentials. Independently draft standard routine pleadings, correspondence, and other documents. Read and electronically profile e-mails, File pleadings via legal messenger or electronically with courts. Maintain superior public relations with business associates and clients. Schedule appointments, meetings, depositions, and other meetings for an attorney. Work closely with other staff members in a team-familiarized manner. Work closely with paralegals and lawyers for maintaining structured and comprehensive file indexes and case files. Proofread legal documents as required, and attaching exhibits as properly redacted. Litigation Paralegal will provide support to the Legal Team in large and complicated cases going to trial or on appeal. Provide service updates; client status updates; follow-up on outstanding documents and or services; coordinate with title contacts to complete outstanding tasks such as recordings; missing documents Draft and generate pleadings such as Complaints; Motions; Notice of Hearings; Affidavits; Defaults; Certificates of foreclosure and motions for deficiency judgment. Assist with check down of closed; active and hold files including forwarding invoices of foreclosures fees and costs. Manage and organize production of documents; identify privileged documents. Generate reports and follow-up on identified outstanding tasks. Will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; Secondary education or some college a plus. Certified Paralegal a plus. 3-5 year Litigation Paralegal experience or general knowledge of litigation/bankruptcy proceedings. Must have a positive attitude and be a team player. Provide legal support to attorneys and team. Manage a portfolio of files for clients. Knowledge of real property and creditors rights preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with clerks or Judges in various courts, defense attorneys. Must provide excellent customer service (internally and externally). Must be a self starter and possess good time-management abilities. Balance team and individual responsibilities; contribute to building a positive team spirit. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Look for ways to improve and promote quality. Must possess exceptional organizational skills; have the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to change. Ability to read and write for proof reading and editing purposes. High-level proficiency in MS Office suite. Proficiency in internet research activities. Familiarity with case and document management software. Good understanding of policies and procedures of law. Ability to transcribe correspondence and reports, legal documents. Ability to operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone.
