Family Law Billing Paralegal Candidate will enter time and expense of billable time of attorneys and staff. Ability to work overflow for the family law paralegal as needed. Will be responsible for managing and processing client bills with the attorney and their staff utilizing the Firm's billing platforms and facilitating billing submissions. Will: Coordinate with attorneys, staff and clients to generate, distribute, edit, finalize legal bills through various billing formats, including My Case system. Facilitate resolution of billing issues. Prepare reports and materials to track billings. Perform additional billing duties as assigned. Monitor client accounts, on time payment of invoices. Follow up on outstanding invoicing issues for resolution to meet internal and external deadlines to minimize business and legal risk. Provide clients with account statements monthly. Communicate with clients to answer questions and resolve disagreements between the client. Negotiate payment arrangements when needed.Answering and routing phone calls. Meet or exceed firm collection guidelines. Receive and post amount paid to client account. Communicate with clients with past due accounts via telephone or written communication. Follow firms' plan for record keeping on all the correspondence with customers and the status of collection efforts. Maintain the highest level of compliance with all firm policies and procedures.Draft and prepare legal documents (e.g., pleadings, complaints, motions, subpoenas, general correspondence, etc.) as needed for overflow. Heavy billing/time entry required. Qualifications: Family Law firm experience preferred. Ability to analyze large amounts of data and find discrepancies. Strong technology skills would be a plus. Ability to multi-task with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
