Prepare materials for oral arguments. Prepare for trials; organize exhibits, witness materials, the trial notebook, and all other supporting documents; coordinate trial logistics. Perform administrative functions such as assist in scanning and filing documents in document management system; perform word processing functions, perform filing, Efiling, service and mailing of pleadings, documents, correspondence and courtesy copies, and calendar deadlines. The candidate must have College degree with 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal. Should have knowledge of the rules regulating paralegals/legal assistants. Must have In-depth knowledge of State and local King County and Pierce County court rules and procedures, and the skills to find and understand those in other jurisdictions. Should have knowledge of King County and Pierce County e-filing systems, and the ability to learn e-filing systems in other jurisdictions. Perform legal research pertaining to multi-state real estate law practice and procedures, proper form execution and acknowledgement of real estate documents for domestic and out of state properties. Prepare and file entity organizational, amendatory, and dissolution/termination documents; prepare and file foreign qualifications and withdrawals. Process and track vendor invoices. Maintain positive relationships with firm attorneys, co-counsel, clients and vendors. Keep accurate time records. Observe confidentiality of client matters. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a 3.5 GPA. 10 previous years of law firm experience in a commercial real estate practice with substantial experience in title and survey. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Positive attitude and strong, concise communication and writing skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks under strict time constraints. Committed team player as well as a motivated self-starter. Able to work overtime as needed (including weekends and holidays), often without advance notice. must be able to work independently and efficiently in an environment that is heavily computer-based, perform under strict time constraints, and follow established client and team guidelines for case and matter management.
