Life is reasonably good in the Atlanta office, where there are attorneys capable of handling every measure of legal problem faced by companies or corporations. Although the litigators are able to become more specialized, corporate associates have a general practice, which ocassional spreads them (and their expertise) a bit thin. Lagging behind in compensation, this firm is dedicated to associate life issues, and has, as a result, a good deal of devoted associates.
Senior Immigration Specialist or Senior Paralegal The candidate will responsible for assisting attorneys with employment-based, family-based and naturalization cases; Performing statutory, case law and public records research to understand legal requirements that apply to specific cases; Interviewing clients for background information needed to obtain a visa; Assisting clients who want to become naturalized citizens; and Planning strategy, drafting affidavits, petitions, and applications for immigration or citizenship, and gathering supporting documents to file a clients immigration application. Must have fluency in Korean, in addition to English, to serve our large, global clients, as is prior job experience as an immigration paralegal, human resources immigration specialist or immigration case management coordinator. Business Immigration Staff Attorney The candidate should have legally evaluate eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for nonimmigrant and immigrant benefits. Draft, review and/or revise H-1B, L-1, and TN petitions/applications PERM Labor Certification audit responses and complex RFEs for filing with the USCIS. Effectively manage client relationships and a team of paralegals for high-volume clients. Explain sophisticated immigration concepts and present strategic solutions for clients. Supervise case handlers in preparing petitions/applications, and effectively manage complex projects under tight deadlines. Navigate complex technology platforms efficiently (ImmSTAR, HotDocs, Excel); communicate effectively in writing and verbally, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources). Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems. Will possess a J.D. and have an active status in a State Bar Association. 2-3 years of business immigration experience, willing to consider a combination of attorney and paralegal experience is required.
