Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for supporting various practice groups including health and business law as well as immigration. Will support attorneys in connection with all aspects of case management. Assemble regulatory filings, type, proofread and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memos, charts, handwriting or existing documents, as directed by assigned legal staff sometimes under short deadlines. Maintain files or legal documents, memos, reports, addresses as per firm policy or instructions from legal staff. Maintain and enter time charges into the billing system as required. Update calendars, assist with travel arrangements, schedule meetings and conferences. File maintenance, entering time charges into the billing system as required. Interact with clients, responding to client requests and other duties assigned, all with a high level of attention to detail. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Should preferably have 1-2 years of legal secretary experience. Ability to quickly learn practice area including medical terminology is required.
