Paralegal Trial

Title : Paralegal Trial

Location : California - San Francisco
Refer to Job # BURO716211

Though the Los Angeles office of this full-service litigation firm continues to specialize in complex insurance litigation coverage, the firm’s main office has recently tried to cash in on the technology litigation market to “bring some growth to the firm.” The transition has not been an easy one; the firm has had an unusually high attrition rate in recent years (insiders tell us some associates left to pursue government jobs but many departed for better money with different firms). However, while salaries remain slightly below market, many observers think the firm is capable of breaking through.
Paralegal Trial The candidate should have 3 years of strong litigation experience for our Trial Practice Group. In order to be considered, applicants must possess strong trial skills and be experienced at organizing documents for deposition taking and preparation. Should possess excellent judgment and decision-making skills and be able to prioritize workflow to ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely fashion. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Should have a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as experience using litigation support software (experience with Relativity is a plus). Bachelor s degree and/or paralegal certificate required. Legal 3 - 0 Full Time 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Title : Paralegal Clerk

Location : California - San Francisco
Refer to Job # DRFC716130

This firm is very strong in most practice groups, and in our opinion is an excellent firm to work for. The firm has a long history, and has managed to draw some well-known political figures into its partnership ranks. The associates we have spoken with at this firm describe it as a good place to work and for the most part the associates working here believe that the partners are friendly and accessible. Additionally, the people who work at this firm are all fairly friendly; however, some associates we have spoken with have told us that there appears to be an air of formality to their friendliness. While the Firm does not always get high marks for diversity, much of that has changed in recent years. Additionally, this firm consistently ranks near the top for quality of life issues and the associates who work here all seem to be fairly enthusiastic about the quality of life of the firm. This firm compensates its associates very well, and there are few complaints about compensation issues. While the firm does have a flex time program, many of the associates we have spoken with do not appear that pleased with the program and believe it could use improvement. We should note that one thing that is notable about this firm is that it does appear very well positioned at most times because it is consistently able to generate work and keep its associates in most departments busy.

Paralegal Specialist Public Companies

Title : Paralegal Specialist Public Companies

Location : California - San Francisco
Refer to Job # MYPO716138

This firm is often at the top of the list of prominent Boston law firms. Large and growing, these lawyers are well-connected throughout the Boston area, and are looking to increase the reach of their influence. With beautiful offices (that seem to go on and on...) the lawyers here are generally quite happy with their practice. Why? At the associate level, lawyers are given a bit more responsibility than your average law firm lawyer, and depending on the practice group, given quite solid training and structured mentoring. Although the partners are increasingly conscious of the billable hours of their associates, they are generally accessible. In particular, several of the litigation partners bring in high level litigation work and remain very involved throughout to monitor and guide the associates participation.
Paralegal Specialist Public Companies Duties: Assist attorneys with various duties related to Initial Public Offerings including assisting with due diligence and capitalization review, preparing exchange listing applications, assisting with document drafting, evaluating Blue Sky issues, preparing overhang analyses and working with financial printers. Will also assist with Public company compliance matters including the preparation of Section 16 Filings (Form 4 & 5) and preparation of Forms 13D and G. Will provide assistance with M&A transactions as well as general corporate matters for privately held companies including entity formation, preparation of board minutes and consents, drafting of equity award documentation and management of capitalization tables, and ongoing corporate maintenance. Qualifications: Bachelor's or equivalent experience and 7+ years of experience working with public company transactions and reporting. Must have excellent organization and communication skills, and be capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Must also be able to work well independently and in a team oriented environment. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is also required. Legal 7 - 0 Full Time 0000-00-00 00:00:00
