If the court requires filing by a certain date prior to trial, then, in addition to serving exhibits to the counsel/parties, file the exhibits with the Board. Review and analyze files for basic lien defenses, draft appropriate forms, respond to telephone calls regarding liens,and negotiate lien settlements. Do not settle with any lien claimant unless have explicit authority to do so. Facilitate account management with clients, firm account managers, and panel staff to ensure that specific account requirements are met. Update Aderant with all new or changing data within 24 business hours of learning about any changes or updates. Communicate via phone or email with the assigned attorney, other parties, clients, and co-workers as described in the Administrative Procedures Manual for Legal Assistants. On a task basis, record the actual time billed in the appropriate time-entry screen in the document processing system. The candidate should have a paralegal certificate.
