Paralegal Candidate will be responsible for assisting bankruptcy lawyers with all phases of bankruptcy cases (administrative matters, contested matters, adversary proceedings), including document/information management, factual analysis, discovery, and court filings. More specific duties would include preparation bankruptcy petition packages, including schedules and statements, using available firm platforms or software, drafting typical bankruptcy filings as well as complex bankruptcy-related legal documents such as fee applications and perform related calculations. Will likely interface with Bankruptcy Court personnel to request and schedule hearings, obtain orders, and advise court of emergency matters. Would also include keeping track of case/matter deadlines, including managing, tracking and following up on assigned files, pleadings and deadlines. Qualifications: Paralegal certificate preferred. 5+ years of paralegal experience required. Strong knowledge of FileSite, Microsoft applications (especially Excel), Adobe Acrobat Pro, DocuSign, and Box. Must be able to handle multiple assignments, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules. Superb organizational, analytical, and communications skills are also a must. Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the job position, consistent with the Firm's attendance expectations. Demonstrated skills in document/information management. Knowledge of State Court procedures in various jurisdictions. Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing.
