Effectively manage and monitor calendaring of deadlines and key dates. Routinely reviews and follows-up on client deadlines and calendar appointments. Coordinates and makes necessary arrangements for meetings (i.e., depositions, mediations, interviews, and vendor and facility reservations). Properly prioritizes work assignments. Juggle multiple assignments and/or deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor and timely seeks assistance when needed. Enter, review and revise timesheets accurately. Develop, implement, and maintain systems to promote organization and efficiency. Maintains a positive and can do attitude when dealing with clients, co-workers, and attorneys. Paralegal The candidate will support attorneys in the various aspects of litigation related to case preparation, management, and execution. Perform research pertaining to legal issues and precedents related to particular cases. File documents with the various courts. Perform clerical duties such as typing and filing to the extent required to produce work product or assure proper organization of case files. Enter billable time into computer on a daily basis. Meet a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month (1680 per year). Perform non-billable functions, including participating on strategic committees, assisting in seminar development, assisting with production of presentations, mentoring and training new employees. Ensure all functions are performed in exact accordance with applicable client guidelines. Remain flexible and open to requests for support or assistance outside of the scope of this job description and to other duties as directed by the Management team. Work may also require traveling to offsite locations for the collection of records and information or filing of documents with courts, therefore work may require driving. Should have knowledge of legal principles and practices in order to assume responsibility of providing support for attorney team members in case management and information gathering at a level normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree or certified paralegal education. Knowledge of the various courts, their rules and filing requirements required. Accurate typing ability of 45 wpm and comprehensive computer and office equipment experience needed. Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices, experienced in all areas of paralegal duties from inception of case to trial and appeal, including but not limited to case management, general research utilizing Westlaw, case retrieval, bluebooking, cite checking and proof reading pleadings. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support applications such as Relativity, Concordance, IPRO, LiveNote, TextMap and Third Party platforms. Trial experience required. Ability to apply understanding and knowledge of the litigation process from pretrial to post-trial. Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Superior interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication across a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys and staff while maintaining high level of work quality and customer service.
