Paralegal - IP Litigation The candidate will be reviewing and analyzing matters for the purpose of preparing status reports to attorneys and clients. Will be establishing, organizing, and maintaining pleadings, attorney trial notebooks, expert witness notebooks, and document indices and lists. Obtaining written statements from witnesses. Reviewing and outlining depositions, indices and summarizing documents. Assisting in the trial of cases. Scheduling of witnesses and tracks exhibits. Performing assigned legal research tasks using all available resources including libraries and computer data systems. Proofreading and marking legal documents. The candidate must have a four-year college degree. A paralegal certificate is preferred. Should have 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal to include pretrial and trial experience. Coordinate post-closing follow-up including recording documents, wiring funds, obtaining necessary cancellation documents, organizing and indexing files and overseeing preparation of closing documents binders. Perform legal research pertaining to multi-state real estate law practice and procedures, proper form execution and acknowledgement of real estate documents for domestic and out of state properties. Prepare and file entity organizational, amendatory, and dissolution/termination documents; prepare and file foreign qualifications and withdrawals. Process and track vendor invoices. Maintain positive relationships with firm attorneys, co-counsel, clients and vendors. Keep accurate time records. Observe confidentiality of client matters. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a 3.5 GPA. 10 previous years of law firm experience in a commercial real estate practice with substantial experience in title and survey.
