Legal Secretary The candidate will directly support five litigation attorneys. Legal Secretaries also work in small teams to provide back-up coverage and support all attorneys on their floor. Responsibilities include: Create, edit and proofread legal documents, spreadsheets, and other materials. Copy, print and assemble same; Prepare documents for court filings, both in hard copy and electronic, including creating TOCs and TOAs both manually and electronically; Manage incoming mail and answering multi-line telephones; Enter attorney s time and expenses; Make, manage, and coordinate domestic and international travel; Make, manage, and coordinate conference room set ups, conference calls, catering, equipment, and all arrangements needed for internal and external meetings; Review and edit pro formas and prepare client bills; Assist with the preparation of all materials for arbitrations, hearings, trials, and the like. Attend as an on-site assistant when needed; Maintain client listing, contacts lists, and a filing system both in hard and soft copy; Perform other typical legal secretary tasks as assigned. Will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, a polished demeanor, the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, be a detail oriented, self-starter who can work independently and as a team player. Prior legal secretary, or comparable experience, required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to type 50 wpm required.
