Litigation Paralegal Duties: Review, organize, analyze and evaluate discovery. Draft letters, reports, medical summaries and certain pleadings. Manage discovery in cases for 4-5 attorneys. Prepare cases for depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trials. Significant contact with clients, witnesses, experts, attorneys, and other professionals. Billable requirements (experience with billing guidelines for insurance companies is a plus). Work with electronic files (including pleadings, discovery and correspondence). Retrieve medical records via authorizations and/or subpoenas. Balance multiple tasks and competing deadlines. Perform other tasks as required to assist the firm in functioning fully and effectively. Candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal in Federal Courts, be self-motivated, an excellent communicator (including written communication) and be organized with a strong attention to detail. Will have experience working with medical records, be tech savvy, a high level of experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro, ability and motivation to work independently, and be a team player who is looking for a long-term position.
