Trusts and Estates Paralegal The candidate's responsibilities include estate plan drafting and all facets of trust and probate administration, including meeting with clients, trustees, and family members; communicating with beneficiaries; drafting correspondence and legal documents including trusts, wills, deeds, powers of attorneys, asset spreadsheets, court accountings and probate pleadings; interacting with the courts and administrative departments; maintain attorney calendar and schedule client meetings; and organizing and maintaining client files. 2 years solid trust & estate paralegal experience along with a paralegal certificate or equivalent education/training. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, and Excel. Experience in calendaring and interaction with the Superior Court. Knowledge of the Probate process and rules, and use of judicial council forms. Excellent communication skills, including proofreading and the ability to write clearly and concisely. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Notary preferred. Experience in general Civil Litigation a plus. Experienced in estate plan drafting, trust and probate administration. Good communications skills are a must in dealing empathetically and compassionately with clients. Must be able to work well with attorneys; coworkers; clients and their advisors, including accountants and financial planners; as well as the courts and administrative departments.
