Legal Assistant/Paralegal Candidate will work in Matrimonial/Family Law Firm. Heavy client contact on the phone and in person, as well as interaction with various courts. Answer phones, meet and greet clients and attorneys, perform routine clerical tasks such as filing, copying, file organization and client billing. Assist the attorneys in the preparation of discovery responses, trial notebooks, exhibits for trial and depositions, preparation and packaging of motions, petitions, transmittal correspondence, file legal papers with the court and/or serve legal papers on local attorneys from time to time. Qualifications: Notary Public a plus. 2 years' experience. Law firm experience is required. Proper phone etiquette, demeanor, plus clear and articulate speech are a must. Must be able to work independently as well as being part of a team. A positive can-do attitude to this work environment, is flexible and self motivated, prioritizes their work load, possesses excellent typing and organizational skills, and is proficient in word processing, billing and scheduling programs.
