Paralegal The candidate duties include: Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, closings, etc. Cite-check legal documents. Prepare/oversee trial calendar. Research legal documents. Assist in the preparation of legal documents including drafting pleadings and motions. Prepare TOAs for court filings. Assist with ECF court filings as needed. Investigate cases. Locate witnesses. Organize and track case files for attorneys. Provide trial assistance. Prepare/obtain affidavits. Coordinate depositions, if necessary. Retrieval of archived records as needed. Coordinate shifting of files to maintain organization and sufficient room as directed by the attorneys or Records Coordinator. Assist filing secretaries with adding items to the case file, as needed or requested. Copy or scan as requested and/or time allows. Must have 5+ years of law firm experience. Should have proficiency in desktop applications within scope of responsibility including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and knowledge of NetDocs, ProLaw, and Elite a plus. Must have knowledge of Westlaw, Best Authority.
