Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: All aspects of electronic discovery, including the ability to manage document reviews and productions, i.e., loading and coding documents, bates numbering, logging productions, and searching for documents in Relativity database. Attending hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trial, and handling logistics, exhibits, assisting in preparing witnesses and experts, and technology needs relating to same. Interacting with IT personnel and vendors regarding document and discovery issues. Filing and serving motions, briefs, exhibits, appendices, and other documents in state and federal courts. Setting up, organizing, and maintaining files and internal case databases. Organizing discovery, research, pleadings, and other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation. Preparing notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial. Bluebooking and cite checking. Preparing and coordinating service of subpoenas. Basic legal and internet research, including culling relevant information from a variety of resources. Calendaring and tracking case deadlines. Requirements: BA/BS degree required. Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal for a minimum of 3 years in an AmLaw 200 or higher ranked firm. Experience in trial preparation and as lead paralegal at multiple complex trials utilizing electronic evidence presentation software. Proven ability to maintain client confidences regarding extremely sensitive information. Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures. Excellent writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. High proficiency in technology evolutions, including willingness and motivation to increase applications of Artificial Intelligence in the firm's litigation practice. Experience with Westlaw/LEXIS, cite-checking, proofreading, and bluebook proficiency. Experience monitoring dockets and case deadlines.
