Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments, typing attorney pleadings, and correspondence, scheduling court appearances, checking the service of the complaint, and must have the ability to juggle priorities. Follow practices and processes that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company standards, and serve the needs of our clients. Commitment to a process of continuous improvement. Comply with company policies and procedures, including the company's attendance policy. Perform general secretary duties (dictation, correspondence, handling of mail, scanning). Prepare guardianship paperwork, scheduling court hearings for minor's files. Physical and electronic court filings. Full preparation of documents for filing, mailing, e-mailing, faxing. Save case-related documents. Preparation of Document Production (PDF Combining, bate stamping). Proofread and make grammatical and spelling corrections on legal forms. Schedule client calls, meeting coordination, and calendaring. Prepare correspondence in support of the work of Legal Assistants (loss of consortium and other form letters). Back up clerical support for assistants (mail, copying, faxes). Perform other duties within the employee's training and skills as directed by Core Leader. The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent degree with 1 year of previous Litigation Legal Secretary experience in a law firm or comparable industry; display a true passion for client and community service; demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form with clients; ability to work independently without regular direct supervision.
