Associate Attorney Duties: Will be working on complex and challenging state and federal litigation matters. Will have exposure to civil rights, criminal defense, consumer litigation and matrimonial matters. will be responsible for high volume case load, motion practice, daily court appearances as well as client interaction. Will handle: Daily court appearances; negotiation with opposing counsel; client interaction and intake; Legal research and writing; motion practice. Handling litigation matters from inception through settlement or trial if necessary.
Qualifications: Must currently be admitted to practice in New York. 1-3 years of litigation experience. Will have litigation experience with heavy motion practice in a specific or several practice areas; excellent legal research and writing skills; and be competent in dealing with clients. Extremely detail oriented. Must be able to deal with responsibility of large case load; highly organized; must be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
