Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will prepare drafts of ancillary documents, such as closing affidavits, closing statements, and closing instruction letters, in connection with the development, financing and management of commercial and residential real estate transactions. Draft, revise, format, proofread, and finalize documents including letters, agreements, closing documents, loan documents, and other various documents. Due diligence exercises for a wide variety of commercial properties in various stages of acquisition, development, and financing. Must be able to abstract and outline preliminary issues on third party reports including but not limited to: title commitments, surveys, environmental reports, soil reports, property condition reports and zoning reports. Order and review title commitments, title exception documents, surveys, and coordinate with the title company and/or surveyor to resolve open issues. Draft, edit, review, and/or outline issues within complex agreements relating to transactions, joint ventures, operating agreements, loan documentation and entity formations. Prepare and manage the recordkeeping of closing documents and binders. Prepare, file and record documents with recorder's office, Secretary of State and other government offices both electronically and via hard copy. Coordination and liaison with outside counsel. Maintain and update physical and electronic matter files with related documents including downloading documents from online document sharing portals, scanning and saving executed agreements, correspondence, and other documents appropriately. 3 years Paralegal experience required. Experience in commercial real estate highly desired. Advanced organizational skills required. Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and ability to multitask and prioritize workload required. Demonstrated experience working with MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Experience using Qualia or similar real estate closing software required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. File preparation & entity formation experience with Secretary of State filings required. Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.
