Legal Secretary - Insurance Defense Duties: Providing administrative support to attorneys handling a large caseload and various management related tasks. Answer the telephones and deal directly with clients. Qualifications: High School or equivalent. Prior experience in an insurance defense firm is required. Significant legal secretarial experience. Paralegal experience is a plus. Prior work with insurance company clients is required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines is required. Must have experience creating legal documents in New York. (Pleadings, Discovery, Motions, etc.); Must have experience filing documents in New York Supreme Court and New York Federal Courts. Must have experience using PracticeMaster, TABS or other legal management/billing software. Must be proficient using MS Office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint), Must have experience with billing software, including time entry.
