Attorney Candidate will be concentrating in post-conviction work seeks an entry-level associate. Will work on significant criminal cases, learn from uniquely experienced attorneys, perform high-level legal research and writing, and appear in court. The majority of cases handled by the associate will be habeas corpus and possibly appellate cases. Qualifications: CT Bar Admission required. Experience in trial, appellate or habeas corpus work a plus. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required. A desire to have heavy client contact and to appear in court and argue/try cases is also necessary. Must have a professional demeanor and be able to manage difficult clients. Must also be organized and able to manage numerous matters competing for attention. Additional factors which may be considered include experience in other practice areas (particularly, immigration, real estate, estate planning, and family/divorce), proficiency with technology, and fluency in foreign languages. Candidates with clerkship experience are encouraged to apply.
