Immigration/Litigation Paralegal The candidate will handle the preparation and filing of any immigration benefits application as delegated. Support all functions of removal proceedings litigation including the preparation of application for relief from removal such as Cancellation of Removal, Asylum and Withholding of removal applications. Procure documents in support of application, the preparations of affidavits/declarations and prepare, tab and paginate all immigration court filings. Primarily responsible for all U-Visa, T-Visa, I-589 Applications (asylum, withholding of removal, CAT), 42A & 42B applications and DACA Filings. Assist attorney in preparation of immigration petitions and applications, including preparation of immigration forms and packages with supporting evidence for submission to relevant administrative agency. Review and organize client documentation and analyze and summarize case data for attorney. Assist attorney with determining potential case issues and planning strategy. Maintain organized, legally compliant files, monitor deadlines, set up tickler system, and progress of individual cases. Manage caseload of immigration matters in various stages. Draft correspondence to clients and relevant administrative agency, as well as communicate directly with same with applicable. Translate documents as delegated by the attorney and provide direct translation for client in meetings at the office. Review and analyze Request for Additional Evidence and draft responses. Perform special projects and other assignments are request by attorney or others by establishing priorities and proactively anticipating attorney and client needs. Support and maintain effective communication with remote paralegals. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should preferably have 1+ years of Civil Litigation or Immigration Litigation experience. Spanish skills are required.
