Attorney The candidate will attend daily court appearances in Supreme, Civil and Surrogate courts throughout New York State. Will represent clients at mandatory foreclosure settlement conferences. Appear before New York State Supreme Court Justices on uncontested mortgage default motions, status conferences and Orders to Show Causes. Attend court appearances on highly litigated matters, which includes but is not limited to, appearances at PC conferences, Pre Trial Conferences, Traverse hearings and non jury trials. Prepare, review and appear on motions for discontinuances. Must be able to prepare for and present oral arguments in court. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should have basic computer skills and be able to work through case management system. Proven track record of also handling contested motions (i.e., motions to dismiss, motions to quash, etc.) in court is preferred. Experience using client platforms (i.e., Black Knight, LPS, etc.) is a plus. Must be admitted to Practice in New York at the time of employment. Send resume and salary expectations.
