Compliance Attorney, Residential Real Estate Responsibilities: A complete and thorough review of each Closing File to ensure the File is Balanced in the Software's accounting system. Review Invoices (payoffs, liens, judgments, taxes), Title Opinions, Closing Statements, Deposits, Wire Instructions, Recordables, Title Updates, and other title clearing items for accuracy. Review all legal documents prior to recordation to ensure all necessary aspects have been completed properly. Review the Closing Statement to confirm all figures are accurate and match with Software's accounting system. Sign Checks and Release Wires. Qualifications: JD from accredited Law School. North Carolina Bar license required. 1+ years of real estate law experience preferred. Proven ability to analyze, prioritize and execute multiple projects and complex tasks under a deadline. Ability to analyze legal issues and to provide effective, practical advice on routine legal matters. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
