Legal Secretary/Assistant Duties: Draft and prepare legal documents (e.g., pleadings, complaints, motions, deposition notices, subpoenas, general correspondence, etc.), with limited guidance. Prepare and coordinate e-filings, as well as filings in state courts if needed. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and scan documents. Ensure that documents are saved and filed into the appropriate workspaces/folders. Maintain updated correspondence and pleadings files. Answer phones. Make travel arrangements. Maintain the daily calendar of attorney(s) including, but not limited to, scheduling appointments, meetings and travel arrangements. Confer with court personnel. Perform clerical duties as needed. Candidates must have strong defense litigation background with 5+ years of legal experience preferred. Will have excellent organizational skills, be able to manage a high volume of cases, work well under pressure and execute multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
