Pretrial Paralegal The candidate will manage a large caseload of a caseload of unfiled and filed Wrongful Death and Personal Injury asbestos cases at the Pretrial level from intake through the case obtaining a trial date. Will be tracking statutes Regular client contact, including discussing fee contract, health updates, and case progression. Responsible for tracking and meeting all deadlines, both in house and according to the General Orders, Case Management Orders, Local Rules and the C.C.P. Responsible for ordering all necessary records and documents needed in the case, including employment, medical, billing, and pension documents. Prepares and follows up on service of defendants, and sends search requests for missing defendants. Prepares, reviews and serves various pleadings in the case. Responsible for ensuring case information in data is current and correct. Additional duties as assigned or needed. Bachelor s Degree or Paralegal Certificate required. 1 year experience in a similar office environment, Law Firm preferred. Must have strong communication skills.
