Seeking Paralegal Manager And Senior Paralegal with 7 years' of relevant experience. Candidate will be responsible for: Own caseload in addition to the overall supervision of the services provided by the Paralegals under supervision for an Insurance Defense Firm. Assigning projects to paralegals; coordinating paralegal work-flow; and monitoring billable and non-billable paralegal hours; participating in the recruiting, hiring and training of new paralegals; preparing statistical reports, participating in salary reviews and performance evaluations; promoting efficient and optimal utilization of paralegals and performing other administrative duties. Should have the ability to assist attorneys in all aspects of matters including: Propounding and responding to discovery; prepare for depositions, mediations or settlement conferences; issuing subpoenas; independently obtain, review and organize medical records/medical billings, calculate damages including medical expenses, lost wages and property damage; review job files; and familiarity with the California and Federal rules of Civil Procedure. Should also have an ability to manage trial preparation including coordination of witnesses, preparation of jury instructions, trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, supporting documents, exhibits and hearing binders.
