Legal Clerk / Paralegal The candidate takes direction from Attorneys and/or Paralegals on various projects and compiles and tracks written documentation as needed. Organizes, tracks, and maintains documents in clients files. Prepares drafts of documentation and correspondence for review. Distributes documentation as instructed. Communicates in writing and verbally to clients and other counsel. Organizes, enters and maintains documents into automated document management and/or database systems. Arranges for reproduction of documents. Checks photocopies of all documents to insure they are correct and complete. Performs unscheduled deliveries to various courts, law firms and clients. Performs data entry into LegalKEY and prepares files for storage. Prepares documents for scanning. Sorts documents in chronological order. Tracks billable and non-billable time and enters it into DTE. Should have the ability to effectively communicate with attorneys and clients verbally and in writing. Should have good typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm. Working knowledge of Windows-based applications, including PowerPoint and Excel is required. Should have the ability to organize large amounts of data into an efficient system (both electronic and hardcopy) for easy filing and retrieval.
