This mid size Orlando office maintains a full service civil law practice. The is organized into the following areas: litigation, health law, communications and media, employment and labor, tax, personal planning and employee benefits, securities and public offering, real estate, and business and corporate office. Legal Secretary The candidate will be performing overall legal secretarial and general administrative tasks. Receptionist duties including answering phones, routing calls, greet clients, handling deliveries. Prepare various legal documents and correspondence such as letters, memos, briefs, summonses, complaints, motions, discovery and subpoenas specific to the practice area of the attorney and\or legal assistant. Process new business intake and expense reimbursements in timely manner. Preparing closing binders for corporate transactions and assisting with post-closing matters. File documents, order certificates and perform searches with the Texas Secretary of State, and work with Capitol Services for corporations that are formed outside of Texas. Administrative support includes: transcribing dictation, maintaining multiple attorney calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, entering attorney time, billing, preparing expense reports, organizing and coordinating meetings and conferences. Maintaining effective filing system. Perform other duties as assigned. The candidate should have High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and more than ten years litigation/corporate experience, 7 in a law firm setting. Should have previous experience preparing for and attending trial including preparation of exhibits and trial notebooks, scheduling depositions, court reporters and videographers. M&A and securities experience a must. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, NetDocs or other document management systems, and InTapp, Chrome River and 3E. Proficiency with e-filing, in Federal, State and Local courts essential. Excellent Microsoft Word skills and type a minimum of 70 WPM required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must. Great attention to detail essential. Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage tie and re-prioritize tasks.
