Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including screening potential clients, conducting interviews, serving current clients, legal research, managing an attorneys schedule, document preparation and organization, and attending depositions, hearings, and trials. Assisting an attorney in preparing for and conducting, depositions, hearings, trials and conferences. Acting as the first point of contact for a high volume of potential and current clients. Provide exceptional client service and calmly and professionally handle difficult clients. Completing administrative tasks, including: time management and calendaring duties for yourself and the attorney; organizing documents, case files, and discovery; tracking time and creating monthly bills; conducting conflict checks; creating and maintaining a case-management database; organizing and tracking files or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents. Investigating the factual evidence of a case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams. Prepare preliminary drafts of legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas. Conducting routine discovery. Must have 5+ years of proven working experience as a litigation paralegal. Should have Paralegal certification and College degree. Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc is required. Extensive computer and database expertise is needed.
